Anonymous asked: i have a question about walking.. is it really a good form of exercise? im trying to lose weight and get in shape. i love walking and could go for hours, and its really the only form of exercise that i enjoy at all, but im not sure if im really getting enough physical activity to make a difference in my weight. is this true or am i just paranoid?
Think differently...
Changing the way you approach weight loss can help you be more successful at weight management. Most people who are trying to lose weight focus on just the goal of weight loss. However, setting the right goals and focusing on lifestyle changes such as following a healthy eating plan, watching portion sizes, being physically active, and reducing sedentary time are much more effective.
A healthy eating plan...
- Emphasizes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fat-free or low-fat milk (or soy milk)
- Includes lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, and nuts
- Is low in saturated fats, trans fat, cholesterol, salt (sodium), and added sugars
- Controls portion sizes!
:) Live healthy. - LL
